Coerver coaching made such an impression on their previous visit to Rudgwick Junior FC that we were keen to invite them again. Building on the success of the last training session, the opportunity was opened up to other local clubs. The day attracted U7 to U10 players from Milford, Cranleigh, Ewhurst and Kirdford, creating a fantastic sense of community. Despite the freezing temperatures, the coaching sessions attracted over sixty players from local teams, a testament to the growing popularity of the Coerver methods.
The Coerver ethos emphasises developing individual skills. The coaches work at inspiring young players rather than merely offering instruction. Their methods are becoming increasingly popular and are respected around the world.
The use of the excellent astro turf at Grafham Grange School enhanced the professional nature of the day, and many local coaches stayed to pick up tips from the excellent Coerver coaching staff.
Coerver’s Director for the South West London, Amit Sohal was equally impressed with the facilities and the local players. He commented “Just wanted to say thank you for allowing us to work with the kids today. We thoroughly enjoyed it and hope we can work together in the future again.”
Feedback from the players and other local coaches was resoundingly positive, with many already asking for details of the next session. The Rudgwick coaches are therefore looking to collaborate with Coerver again in the Spring and are fast building a successful and valuable working partnership.
